Another Free C.E., new Generic News

April 27, 2007

With the new release of a generic version of Ambien, I bring you this C.E.:

Newer Options in the Management of Insomnia

The FDA has granted final approval for the release of the generic version of Ambien. The drug, zolpidem tartrate, is a nonbenzodiazepine hypnotic, otherwise known as a sleeping pill. The tablets, which are shipping immediately, are in 5 mg and 10 mg doses.

Last year, Ambien had U.S. sales of approximately $2.2 billion for the same dosages

Zolpidem tartrate has been linked to several risks, including “Sleep Driving” that we have read about in previous posts.

Aside: I am sorry for the lack of updates. The main computer that CPhTLink.com runs from has broken down for good. A temporary solution has been worked out, and a new Intel Mac is on the way.
