Here is the story of a man who owned a pharmacy. He thought his estranged wife may have been stealing Schedule II narcotics from the store. So he called the police. And he was right.

The police came in and, in the course of the investigation, found him to be in numberous violations in his record keeping, storage, and security of the narcotics in the store.

They arrested the wife and took away his license.

Which would you rather loose… you license or your wife?

Via Drug Topics article:

“According to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, approximately 15% of healthcare professionals struggle with drug dependence at some point in their career.”

Do you find this percentage too high? To small?

Not to demean the will power of most people in our profession, be it Doctors, Nurses, Technicians, or Pharmacists; Lump them all together, and I think that the number of health care professionals that have (at least at one point in their career) struggled with drug dependence is probably way higher.
